The RDCS incorporates a hydraulic dashpot that decelerates the disc through the last part of its travel before seating, eliminating the impact and pressure spike of valve slam. Suitable for pump discharge on sewage, sludge and slurry where aggressive media would quickly damage spring-assisted check valves. No springs in contact with media.
